Recommended Procedures to Follow in Final Assignments

May 28, 2009 · Leave a Comment

  1. Finish and print your business plan white paper, including financial forms, by Friday the 29th.
  2. Next, finish your business plan PowerPoint presentation by Monday, June 1st.
  3. Volunteer early to present, with the first four gaining 5% extra credit (if the presentation is complete).
  4. Then, while you’re waiting to present, catch up on late chapter work (if you have any).
  5. If–after all volunteers have presented–I call on you to present, you lose one grade (e.g. A down t0 a B) for each time you say “not ready.”
  6. You only get a F on your presentation if you say “not ready” four times, or if we run out of time on Wed. 9:56 a.m.

You can pass this class if you turn in a complete business plan, give a satisfactory presentation, and do all the classwork, including chapters. Please make this happen.

Your Business Plan

May 19, 2009 · Leave a Comment

We’ve been working on your business plan for months. Now, however, we’re coming up on the final presentations. Here’s what you need to have ready:

  1. The Business Plan White Paper is the official Word document that is your business plan. It’s worth 200 points. It must include everything from the outline on p. 740 up to III. 1. A&B. It must also include the 3 financial forms, and those are the personal budget, the start-up costs worksheet, and the quarterly projected business income statements for the first year. This is due on Friday, May 29th.
  2. The Business Plan PowerPoint presentation must be ready to go on Monday, June 1st. It must present the key points in your Business Plan White Paper. It is worth 100 points.
  3. The Financial Forms (required to be with the White Paper) must be turned in separately. They are due on Friday, 22nd. They are worth 100 points. I’ll tell you on Friday how to turn them in.

Remember: you must finish and turn in all of the above to pass this class, and you must turn in all your chapter work for a passing grade, as well. There is plenty of time left, but don’t waste any.

Note. Early presenters get a 5% extra credit added, but only if they are actually ready to do a good job.
